Transferred from an original Acid Tapes cassette. “Acid Tapes” was an underground label the operated in the 1980s and was part of the psychedelic revival that was happening then. The spirit is very much “anything goes, whatever is good fun.” So forget professionalism and think anarchic playful flamboyance! Monty heard Syd Barrett’s Pink Floyd when they first released Piper At The Gates Of Dawn thanks to his uncle Damien, who played Monty all kinds of psychedelic music when he was 7 years old: the influence is obvious here! Monty sent Kate Bush a copy through her fan club and she kindly wrote back. She liked “The Dentist Song” and the echoed improvised piano piece best. All songs, music and instrumentation by Monty Oxymoron (the “Monty the Moron!”) accept...(see below)
